"Triplecross" is the sixteenth and final episode of the animated micro-series Star Wars Forces of Destiny' second season. It was released on May 25, 2018.[1]

Official description[]

Hondo teams up with bounty hunter droid IG-88 to capture Qi'ra, but she outsmarts both her pursuers by pitting them against each other so that she can collect the bounty on them.

Plot summary[]

On Ord Mantell, Qi'ra is running away from the droid bounty hunter IG-88, who is firing blasters. IG-88 orders her to stop and surrender. Reaching an alley, Qi'ra opens a door only to walk into the arms of the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is pleased that she has fallen into their little trap. Hondo adds that he had to partner with IG-88 to catch the elusive Qi'ra.

As IG-88 fits Qi'ra with stuncuffs, he remarks that a Crimson Dawn lieutenant would fetch a fine bounty. Qi'ra tells Hondo that it is out of character for him to be working together and adds that she thought he hated droids. Qi'ra asks Hondo why he is bothering with her and adds that the bounty on the droid is worth more than hers. Hondo then remarks that the bounty on him is worth more than Qi'ra and IG-88 together.

When IG-88 asks "really" and raises his vibroblade, Qi'ra quickly dodges out of harm's way. Hondo instinctively shoots at IG-88, knocking the droid to the ground. While Hondo fastens a set of stuncuffs on IG-88, Qi'ra takes the opportunity to free herself from her binders with a tool. As Hondo confronts IG-88 for double-crossing him, Qi'ra shouts "good idea" and knocks Hondo to the ground.

After disarming him, she handcuffs Hondo and taunts him that the droid was a good distraction. When Hondo protests, Qi'ra tells him that he is going to make her rich. IG-88 then rises and accuses Hondo of double-crossing him. Hondo responds that Qi'ra "triple-crossed" him. Qi'ra orders them to start walking. While walking, Hondo offers to split the bounty with Qi'ra but IG-88 points out that they are in no position to negotiate. Hondo grumbles that IG-88's constant interjections is why he doesn't like droids.
