"Among the exotics cataloged by the Sector Rangers were a Tralusian styanax, a sycanid from Humbarine, an Arkanian polar drake, Outer Rim worrts, and a dwarf rathtar from Trillia."
―Police Commissioner Exantor Divo, Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious[3]

Trillia was an Expansion Region celestial body. It shared its name with the Trillia Massacre, which saw dwarf rathtars kill and eat a large number of beings. Around 34 ABY, the cargo starship Sketter's Quarrel was transporting several exotic creatures the private ownership of which was illegal, including a dwarf rathtar from Trillia.

Description[]

Trillia was a celestial body[3] located in the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated within grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid and lay on a hyperspace route that linked it to[1] the world[4] Aridus[5] as well as the Mid Rim Territories[1] space station[6] Munt Ontdal.[1]

History[]

DwarfRathtar-CaseFilesOnTheGalaxysMostNotorious

Around 34 ABY, the starship Sketter's Quarrel was transporting a dwarf rathtar (pictured in a cage) from Trillia.

Trillia shared its name with the Trillia Massacre, an event that took place[7] at some point by 34 ABY.[8] The event saw a large number of beings killed and eaten by[7] dwarf rathtars, a subspecies of the carnivorous rathtar cephalopods from the planet Twon Ketee.[9]

Around 34 ABY,[10] the New Republic Sector Rangers discovered the cargo starship Sketter's Quarrel dead in space. Aboard the vessel, which had been destined for Regent Solculvis of[3] the Expansion Region's[1] Mol'leaj system,[11] the Rangers found several exotic creatures the private ownership of which was illegal, including a dwarf rathtar from Trillia.[3] Later around that same year,[12] information from the Rangers' file on the case, which mentioned the dwarf rathtar's origin, was published in the book Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was authored by New Republic Police Commissioner Exantor Divo.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Trillia was introduced in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.[3]

Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious dates the discovery of the Sketter's Quarrel to 8011 (C.R.C. date) and gives 7977 (C.R.C. date) as the year that the secret mission to Tatooine took place. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the mission to Tatooine to 0 BBY, the discovery of the Sketter's Quarrel must therefore have taken place around 34 ABY.

  12. The latest entries chronologically in Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious are dated to 8011 (C.R.C. date) and gives 7977 (C.R.C. date) as the year that the secret mission to Tatooine took place. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the mission to Tatooine to 0 BBY, 8011 C.R.C. must therefore correspond to around 34 ABY. Scum and Villainy also mentions Hosnian Prime as still being capital of the New Republic, meaning the in-universe Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious must have been published prior to the destruction of the planet, which Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY. As the publishing must have occurred between the time of the latest entries and the destruction of Hosnian Prime, it therefore also took place around 34 ABY.
