Treadtrucks were a type of truck that could be used for ground transportation. They had engines and could be equipped with other features. The Parse family owned a treadtruck during the High Republic Era.[1]

A treadtruck appeared in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[2] Prior to the novel's release, Wong posted on Twitter about working with Lucasfilm Story Group on vehicle design in Escape from Valo, with captions from both the author and Lucasfilm commenting about treads.[3]
