Tony DiTerlizzi is a bestselling author best known for his The Spiderwick Chronicles series with Holly Black. His other works include Kenny & the Dragon and his The Search for WondLa series, the most recent title, The Battle for WondLa, having been released on May 6, 2014.

DiTerlizzi is the author of The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, a retelling of Star Wars original trilogy in picture book form, illustrated with concept art by Ralph McQuarrie.

His daughter, Sophia, is a "huge Star Wars nerd."^[1]
