"Your Majesty, this way."
"There he is. He's still alive. Get a medical capsule immediately."
"Yes, sir. Right away."
―A shock trooper of this squad and Darth Sidious[2]

A squad of the best Imperial shock troopers under the command of Clone Commander Thire was assembled[1] after Emperor Palpatine sensed his new Sith apprentice, Darth Vader, was in trouble. The squad traveled to Mustafar aboard a Theta-class T-2c shuttle alongside the Emperor and searched for Vader. CC-4477 and two troopers found Vader near a lava river, and left under the orders of the Emperor to bring a medical capsule.[2]

Description[]

As a unit of Imperial shock troopers during the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign, Thire's squad was comprised of clones equipped in Phase II clone trooper armor painted red to signify their status as shock troopers of the Coruscant Guard. The squad could be seen utilizing blasters like the DC-15A blaster carbine, and the DC-15A blaster rifle.[2]

History[]

Following the failed attempt by Grand Master Yoda to end the reign of the newly-appointed Emperor Palpatine, the Sith Lord sensed that his apprentice, Darth Vader, was in danger. Along with a squad of Imperial shock troopers under the command of Commander Thire, Palpatine departed Coruscant for Mustafar in a Theta-class T-2c shuttle. Upon arriving on the planet, two shock troopers accompanied their Emperor as he searched the bank of a lava river for his apprentice. Upon finding his fallen Sith apprentice, Palpatine ordered the two troopers to return to the shuttle and bring back a medical capsule, in which they obeyed.[2]
