I gotta get out of here!

This user is taking a Wookieevacation because of a two-month cruise.

They may still contribute, but not as much as they usually do. In addition, they may not respond to talk page messages as quickly.

The unnamed parameter may also be specified explicitly as |reason=.

Advanced usage

The template contains several optional parameters to override the default behavior, described below. None of these are required. Do not list parameters that you are not using, otherwise you may get undesirable results.

  • |color= – Overrides the default background color.
  • |image= – Overrides the default image. Use full image syntax, without the |thumb argument.
  • |caption= – Replaces "I gotta get out of here!"
  • |message= – Replaces the entire "This user is taking a Wookieevacation" line. If this parameter is used, then the "name", "reason", and unnamed parameters are ignored if present.
  • |name= – Replaces "This user" with the name of your choice. Ignored if "message" is defined.
  • |reason= – Replaces "either due to personal matters or by choice". The ending period is provided automatically. Same as the parameter described under "Basic usage" above. Can also be invoked as an unnamed parameter. Ignored if "message" is defined.
  • |comment= – Replaces the entire "They may still contribute" line. If this parameter is used, then the "pronoun" parameter will be ignored.
  • |pronoun= – Replaces both usages of the singular "they" in the default comment with the specified pronoun. Automagically converted to proper case for each usage. Also adjusts grammar at end of first sentence to read "he/she usually does" instead of "do". Ignored if "comment" is defined.
