This is the spoiler template for subjects originating from major movie releases such as the sequel trilogy and Star Wars Anthology Series films, as well as their directly related products such as novelizations. Subjects not originating from these sources continue to use {{Spoiler}}. This means that subjects such as Rey, who features in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker but does not originate from that movie, should use {{Spoiler}} instead of {{Moviespoiler}}.
Per the March 2016 Mofference, the spoiler period for major movie releases is two months instead of the normal one month. See Wookieepedia:Spoilers for details. Any content related to Episode IX will be marked with this template until February 20, 2020.
