Cham Syndulla: "The Imperials now occupy the entire Tann province."
Ezra Bridger: "What's the Tann province?"
Kanan Jarrus: "It's where Hera grew up."
―Cham Syndulla, Ezra Bridger, and Kanan Jarrus[1]

The Tann Province, also known simply as Tann, was located on the planet Ryloth. The Twi'lek Hera Syndulla grew up in the province in her home, along with her father, General Cham Syndulla, and her mother, Eleni Syndulla.[1]

History[]

Clone Wars[]

"That Y-wing crashed here back in the Clone War, and my father left it as a memorial. It also happens to be the ship I pulled Chopper out of, so he still has issues with it."
―Hera Syndulla[1]

During the Clone Wars' Ryloth Campaign, a Republic Y-wing bomber crashed in the province. It was there that Twi'lek Resistance[1] General Cham Syndulla's daughter, Hera found the Y-wing's astromech, C1-10P, pulled him out, and repaired him.[3] After the War, Cham left the Y-wing as a memorial outside of his home.[1]

Imperial Era[]

"But then the province fell and the galaxy kept turning. The FRM needed me back on Ryloth to help liberate Tann and so I kept it moving."
―Kaasha Bateen[4]

The Syndulla's home was converted into an Imperial base.

When Captain Slavin clumsy attacks failed, Grand Admiral Thrawn was able to force Syndulla to abandon the Tann province. Slavin and his forces then turned Syndulla's home into an Imperial headquarters.[1]

Sometime later, the tactician and Twi'lek resistance fighter Kaasha Bateen was recalled from her time on Pasa Novo during the Pasa Novo campaign so she could help the Free Ryloth Movement liberate Tann.[4]
