Standard year?[]

What is the source for this also being called a "standard year" in canon? And if it is, should this page be at Standard year/Canon? ProfessorTofty (talk) 05:12, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

  • Standard year is mentioned in Dark Disciple, if nowhere else, and yes, this article should have been moved already. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:16, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

DK panel[]

It was confirmed by Leeland Chee at the Absolutely Everything You Need to Know About DK Star Wars Books panel that a standard year based on Coruscant is 365 days long and has no leap years in the new canon! I am not sure how do you add a panel that wasn't on the livestream as a source though.Unsigned comment by PadawanKenobi (talk • contribs).

It's not word for word, but you could probably use this. -- Dr. Porter Resistance starbird (Talk|Contribs) 12:57, July 17, 2016 (UTC)

Change in number of days[]

Does anyone know exactly what the logic was for changing the length of the standard year from 368 days to 365?Seniram 17:25, August 17, 2018 (UTC)

Months per year[]

Does anyone know a source which says how many months there are in a year? Since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates some things as 0.3 ASI (Hux's inspection of the Titan), or 0.5 BSI (Poe recruiting Kaz). This then at least gives some idea of when some events take place in relation to the Hosnian Cataclysm --Lewisr (talk) 05:16, December 31, 2019 (UTC)

  • Not sure of a direct source, but we know that Star Wars Resistance is set 6 months before TFA, so 0.5 year is 6 months which makes a full year 12 months. Toqgers (talk) 05:42, December 31, 2019 (UTC)
  • Oh and here is a source on the 6 months Toqgers (talk) 05:44, December 31, 2019 (UTC)
    • That completely slipped my mind, thanks! --Lewisr (talk) 17:58, January 3, 2020 (UTC)
