introduced in legends?[]
ummmm werent they introduced in Attack ofthe Clones? Doesnt one ofthe clones mention commandos right after they escape the Arena? ralok (talk) 21:39, November 6, 2014 (UTC)
- Does he? Not that I'm aware of, and a bit of basic searching just now didn't turn anything up. If you think that's so, then check it. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:51, November 6, 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, Iamliterally putting in my copy of "Attack of the Clones" right now, the DVD is in my hand. And... the scene I am remembering... Happens after Mace Winduw yells "PILOT LAND IN THAT ASSEMPLY AREA" then a clone trooper with yellow armor highlightssaysto mace "Sir, I have five special commando units awaiting your orders sir" this is after they escape the Arena.... so what is that ARc troopers or Commandos or.... what? The word special can mean they are special by being commandos, or special type of commando... I think it should be said that Commandos are first mentioned in the film, and that the expanded universe elaborated upon different types of Commandos, and someof these concepts were brought into canon... I dont know. ralok (talk) 14:21, November 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Well, there you go then. And Attack of the Clones isn't Legends, it's canon. I'm going to go ahead and edit the article right now-- let me know what you think. And as for ARC troopers, well, an ARC trooper is just a specialized type of clone commando. ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:18, November 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Looks good, I am surprised nobody seems to have ever noticed this before... it is going to have to be put on the legends page too I think. Not sure... ralok (talk) 17:19, November 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Please note that this page states that clone commandos were also known as Republic commandos during the Clone Wars, but Republic commando is a title that was in use for at least four thousand years. I know that this topic is discussing the use of "clone" commando, but I just wanted to add this here for info. Red Heathen (talk) 03:22, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

Indications of Rank[]
Boss and Gregor have a similar style of paint to their armor, specifically on this chest and shoulder pads. Both were the leaders of their squad, so could this paintjob be an indication of their rank? --RemingtonV (talk) 17:01, March 31, 2017 (UTC)
- No. Red Heathen (talk) 03:22, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
ARC Troopers[]
What source states that Advanced Recon Commandos are a type of Clone Commando? They're both a type of special forces/commando yes, but an ARC Trooper and a Clone Commando are not the same.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:38, December 1, 2018 (UTC)
- Agree. Red Heathen (talk) 03:22, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
Battlefront II Commandos[]
Can we agree to swap the current article image for a Clone Commando from DICE's Battlefront II once we have a decent picture of them? Thank you! MimbanMudGang (talk) 21:48, August 22, 2019 (UTC)
3.3 Factual correction[]
It seems someone has added to the Clone Commando page by adding the "Bad Batch" as a Clone Commando unit. They are not Clone Commandos nor have they been indicated as a Commando Unit, if someone has proof that they are strictly a Republic Commando unit please list it. —Unsigned comment by 67.177.205.33 (talk • contribs).
- From Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition: "Hunter is the leader of Clone Force 99, otherwise known as the "Bad Batch." This specialist unit is comprised of clone commandos, each with beneficial mutations." Also, please sign your messages with four tildes in the future. UberSoldat93

Removed CC/RC[]
This article opened with "Clone commandos (CCs or RCs)", which is incorrect. Not all commandos have an RC or a CC designation. In Legends this is especially true, but this is the canon article. There is at least one example of a canon commando having a non-RC or non-CC designation that I can think of offhand, which is Crosshair, AKA CT-9904.
