The TIE/IN Interceptor Prototype was a prototype TIE/IN interceptor^[2] utilized by the Second Sister, an Inquisitor and Jedi hunter of the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius during the Great Jedi Purge.^[1]

In 14 BBY,^[3] the Second Sister used the interceptor to the planet Bracca to investigate reports of a Jedi.^[4] Sometime later, the Second Sister used the ship to travel to the planet Ontotho to again investigate rumors of a lightsaber wielding foe as the Empire attempted to pacify the world.^[1]

Around three years before the Battle of Yavin, the Empire began to deploy TIE Interceptors broadly.^[5]
