Star Wars Manga: Return of the Jedi 2 is the second volume in the Return of the Jedi manga series. It was illustrated by Shin-Ichi Hiromoto and was based upon the original story by George Lucas. It was adapted from the screenplay by George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan. The cover art is by Adam Warren.
Jabba the Hutt attempts to throw Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca into the Great Pit of Carkoon. But as Luke and the gang escape Jabba's henchmen, Jabba is choked to death by Leia Organa. After escaping the Hutt, Luke goes to Yoda, who passes away before him.
Differences from the film[]
- Jabba's death scene is more graphic in the manga than in the movie.
- A scene was added in the manga where a Gamorrean guard attacks Luke. The two fight until the guard is killed by Leia.
- Leia is picked up by Luke instead of running to him.
