"Can— can you hear what they're saying?"
"No—but the crawl's in Sullustese. We must be in SoroSuub Landing."
―Zayne Carrick and Marn Hierogryph[1]

SoroSuub Landing was an area of the Lower City of the planet Taris that was home to a sizable Sullustan and Kedorzhan population—the Kedorzhans often worked in nearby mines. SoroSuub Landing had at least one bar tailored for Kedorzhan miners. In 3963 BBY, the Mandalorians, in the midst of their invasion of Taris, conducted operations from SoroSuub Landing.

Description[]

SoroSuub Landing was an area of the planet Taris' Lower City. Located below the more lucrative communities of the Upper City, SoroSuub Landing had a heavy Sullustan population—at least one of the major public viewscreens in SoroSuub Landing, which shared information such as descriptions of fugitives, had a text crawl in Sullustese.[1]

SoroSuub Landing also had a considerable Kedorzhan population, many of whom worked in nearby mines. After their shifts, Kedorzhan miners often spent time in a bar in SoroSuub Landing catering to a Kedorzhan clientele.[1] SoroSuub Landing shares its name with the Sullustan SoroSuub Corporation.[2]

History[]

"This is Sornell, for the team at SoroSuub Landing, or whatever they call it. See if you can get that big viewscreen down without totally trashing the electronics. I'd like to have just one piece of equipment this trip I don't have to build myself, for a change."
―Koblus Sornell[3]

In 3964 BBY, Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick was accused of murdering four of his fellow classmates in the Upper City's Jedi Tower. Carrick evaded Jedi pursuit with local Snivvian hood Marn Hierogryph and ended up in SoroSuub Landing. It was on a nearby viewscreen that Carrick and Hierogryph first found that they were being pursued by all the forces of Taris law enforcement, and, looking for somewhere to quietly hide, the pair slipped into a Kedorzhan bar.[1]

During the Mandalorian siege of Taris in 3963 BBY, Mandalorian warrior Koblus Sornell led a team in SoroSuub Landing. There, they tried to bring down a large viewscreen for their own use.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

SoroSuub Landing made its first appearance in Knights of the Old Republic 2, a comic written by John Jackson Miller, illustrated by Brian Ching,[1] and released on February 22, 2006.[4]
