"I'm no Sith anymore."
―Lola, to the Sith Master[3]

"Sith" is the first episode of the Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 that premiered on Disney+ on May 4, 2023.[1]

Official description[]

A former Sith apprentice, leading a peaceful, but isolated life, is confronted by the past when her old master tracks her down.[4]

Plot summary[]

The episode opens with a spherical droid E2 rolling through the corridors of a house. It enters a door and slides down a flight of stairs into a bedroom. A human woman with a cybernetic arm named Lola is resting and breathing anxiously on her bed. The droid extends three crab-like legs and makes comforting gestures towards the Lola. She reassures E2 that she was just experiencing a bad dream.

With an eclipse approaching, Lola hopes to finish the painting. With the help of E2, she gets a glob of paint from a paint mixer. She opens the container, which releases multi-colored bubbles. Lola attempts to grasp the bubbles but they turn black. She lets go of the bubbles, which splatter on the white surfaces. Lola and E2 exit the building to explore the surrounding garden.

While marveling her surroundings, she and E2 climb a flight of stairs that lead them into a tunnel. Lola proceeds to work on a mural, which she splatters with bright colors. However, Lola cannot seem to wipe away the darker smudges that keep forming on her mural. Lola is disturbed by a sensor alert from Beacon 7, which she believes to have been caused by a meteorite. The woman adjusts the repulsorlift on her TSMEU-6 personal wheel bike and leaves to investigate the beacon alert with E2.

They ride the wheel bike up a high hill. Lola finds that Beacon 7 has been damaged not by a meteorite but by a saboteur. From behind, a masked Sith master with glowing yellow and red eyes approaches her. He is accompanied by several figures in red armor. The Sith master reminds Lola that she made a promise but Lola counters that she is no longer a Sith. Lola tells E2 to start up the wheel bike and the two flee the Sith intruders. They plunge down a cliff and flee through the rocky landscape.

The Sith minions don jetpacks and pursue Lola through the rugged landscape. After dodging a rocket strike, she uses the blasters mounted on the wheel bike to shoot down two of her pursuers. While fleeing the third shooter, Lola tells E2 to prepare the ship. As they approach her garage, the pursuer manages to shoot her wheel bike, causing it to crash. The woman and E2 are thrown out of the vehicle but E2 uses a laser cannon mounted inside his head to shoot the pursuer down.

The Sith master arrives and uses the Force to rip apart E2's three legs. The wounded Lola flees inside her the garage and into her home. The Sith master follows and drags his lightsaber across the floor. Lola confronts him with a yellow lightsaber and two engage in a fierce lightsaber duel. He manages to temporarily blind her with lightsaber sparks, throwing her back. The Sith master tells Lola that she belongs by his side but she counters that she has found her own path.

The Sith master responds that darkness is her fate before throwing her to the ground. He tells her that become the Sith master will be her only escape. Lola touches the floor with her mechanical arm, generating several colored bubbles. She says that light and darkness are part of the painting, and part of her. Lola charges with her lightsaber, which has become a double-bladed weapon with a red and yellow blade. She strikes her master, cutting him down.

The Sith master says that Lola has done well and become a Sith master. Lola replies that she is no Sith as the Sith master becomes one with the Force. Later, Lola repairs E2 and the two depart on her triple-bladed starship to find a more welcoming world. She leaves behind her finished mural of a yellow and red double-bladed lightsaber, representing both the light and dark sides of the Force. As they fly into space, Lola says that she is a master now and can paint her own destiny.
