The Second Siege of Porus Vida was a battle of the Second Alsakan Conflict, fought between the Galactic Republic worlds Coruscant and Alsakan and their respective allies. The siege took place around 16,100 BBY at the planet Porus Vida, and following the confrontation, the Second Alsakan Conflict lasted for another seven hundred years.

Prelude[]

The Alsakan Conflicts were a fourteen-millennia-long series of wars over political control of the Galactic Republic between its capital world Coruscant, the planet Alsakan, and their respective allies. The latter included the Grand Companies, which were Coruscant-backed trading conglomerates based along the hyperlane known as the Spin. The Inner Rim[1] planet[2] Porus Vida was situated in the region that was actively controlled by the Grand Companies, but it was also located at the junction of one Alsakani-controlled hyperlane and another hyperspace route that was among those either contested or neutral in the conflict.[1]

The Second Siege of Porus Vida marked the second time the planet saw fighting as part of the Alsakan Conflicts, following the first siege that took place over seven centuries earlier during the First Conflict.[1]

Aftermath[]

Following the Second Siege of Porus Vida, the Second Alsakan Conflict lasted for another seven hundred years.[1]
