Sayblohn was a planet located in the Mid Rim's Quess sector. It was occupied by the Galactic Empire, and a group of pirates had a hidden base in the planet's badlands. During the Galactic Civil War, a Rebel Alliance team of operatives traveled to Sayblohn in order to retrieve a stolen art object. After several run-ins with the local pirates, the team was ultimately successful in its mission.

Description[]

Sayblohn was a terrestrial planet located in the Sayblohn system,[3] a part of the Quess sector[1] in the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] The planet's terrain included badlands.[3]

History[]

By the time of the Galactic Civil War, Sayblohn had been occupied by the Galactic Empire.[3]

At some point during that conflict, the Rebel Alliance tasked[3] a special operative team[4] with retrieving from Sayblohn a stolen art object, which held significant religious importance to the Okfili species. Provided with the name and location of an Alliance contact on Sayblohn, the team traveled to the planet, only to be ambushed by a group of local pirates.[3]

Upon landing on Sayblohn, the operatives were questioned by Imperial authorities about the pirate attack the former had suffered. The Alliance team subsequently located its contact, finding him murdered. When the agents discovered the killer, one of the pirates that had previously attacked them, they pursued him, locating the pirates' hidden base in the process. A firefight ensued, and after their contact's murderer was defeated, the operatives smuggled the stolen artifact onto their starship without attracting Imperial attention.[3]

Locations[]

A group of pirates maintained a base on Sayblohn that was hidden in the planet's badlands.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Sayblohn was introduced in the 1987 rulebook for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Within the book, the planet is mentioned in an example of an outline for a roleplaying adventure. This article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[5]

"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article published in Voyages SF 13, placed the Sayblohn system, and therefore Sayblohn itself, in the Tolonda sector. Since the article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never confirmed,[6] and the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas instead placed the Sayblohn system in grid square N-16,[2] which the StarWars.com Online Companion to the book further depicted as being located outside the Tolonda sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[7]
