The Pyrlix Miasma was located in the Tyus sector. During the High Republic Era, a type of specially distilled alcohol was used to deglaze engines stuck in the Pyrlix Miasma.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh received reports about a system-wide strike in the Ossiothora system preventing the harvest of the grain necessary to produce the alcohol. She pondered the disruption's potential effects, thinking it could impact every corner of the Republic. Her reports also included a list of potential responses to the issue, though her attention was diverted to a different issue before she could investigate further.[1]
