Peter Allen David (born September 23, 1956) is an American writer, who wrote "Skippy the Jedi Droid." He is best known for his work in comic books and Star Trek novels and often jokingly describes his occupation as "Writer of Stuff". David's work for Dark Horse Comics has included the teen spy adventure SpyBoy and Star Wars Tales story "Skippy the Jedi Droid."

Outside of Star Wars, particularly at Marvel Comics, he has written for The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, X-Factor, Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Spider, and their adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower, as well as Halo: Helljumper and their 2011 video game Spider-Man: Edge of Time. At DC Comics, he has written for Aquaman, Young Justice, Supergirl, and Fallen Angel, as well as a few episodes of Cartoon Network's Young Justice cartoon adaptation. He also wrote for other TV shows and video games, namely Babylon 5, Ben 10: Alien Force, in addition to co-creating the sci-fi sitcom Space Cases for Nickelodeon.
