"Various records note that the first Matukai was a human female from the world of Karvoss II who discovered her ability to touch the Force while practicing a form of meditative martial arts."
Tionne Solusar, Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force[4]

The Parmorak sector was situated in the Core Worlds and contained the planet Karvoss II. The latter was the homeworld of a Human female who founded the Matukai sect of Force-users at some point following the Great Sith War.

Four millennia later, the Parmorak sector was governed by Moff Chorkun of the Galactic Empire. Chorkun was eventually eliminated by the Rebel Alliance agent Kassar Kosciusko. Karvoss II was visited by Alliance General Airen Cracken by the time the Battle of Yavin was fought. On his way to the wedding of Moff Nile Owen's daughter, Cracken met the Rebel saboteur Aimi Loto on the planet.

Description[]

The Parmorak sector[1] was located in the Southern Core portion of[2] the Core Worlds. It contained the Karvoss system.[1]

History[]

During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance carried out operations in the Parmorak sector,[5] which was governed by Moff Chorkun of the Galactic Empire. In a highly publicized incident, the Moff was mysteriously eliminated by the Tarro Alliance Intelligence agent Kassar Kosciusko, who occasionally used his skills as a former assassin to prevent information leaks and other security breaches.[3]

Locations[]

"I first met Aimi when my R2 unit malfunctioned on Karvoss II."
―Personal addendum by Airen Cracken to a datafile detailing Rebel Alliance operatives[3]

The Karvoss system[1] was home to the terrestrial[3] planet Karvoss II.[4] After the Great Sith War[6] of 3996 BBY, a Human female from Karvoss II discovered her Force-sensitivity while practicing a form of martial arts. She eventually went on to create the Matukai sect of Force-users.[4]

While on a mission to facilitate the defection of the personal assistant of Moff Nile Owen during the wedding of Owen's daughter by the time the Battle of Yavin was fought, Rebel Alliance General Airen Cracken visited Karvoss II. There he met the Rebel saboteur Aimi Loto, who was posing as an itinerant droid maintenance specialist. Loto subsequently warned Cracken to be wary of the protocol droids present at the wedding celebration, for she had secretly sabotaged them.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Parmorak sector was created by Craig Robert Carey and J. Michael Denbo, and was introduced in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 West End Games sourcebook published for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]
