"There's a story that Dr. Nuvo Vindi gassed every agency on Ord Marsax the day after the Republic upped the bounty on his head to 250,000 credits."
―Arack Dostryt, the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook[3]

Ord Marsax was an Outer Rim Territories world located in the Belderone sector. During the Pius Dea Era, it served as a Galactic Republic outpost. Millennia later, according to a story relayed by Bounty Hunters' Guild member Arack Dostryt, the researcher Doctor Nuvo Vindi carried out gas attacks on every bounty posting agency on Ord Marsax.

Description[]

Ord Marsax was a terrestrial[3] world[5] located in the Ord Marsax system, a part of the Belderone sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1]

History[]

NuvoVindi2-SWE

It was claimed that Doctor Nuvo Vindi attacked bounty posting agencies on Ord Marsax.

Ord Marsax served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic during the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between approximately 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY. Ord Marsax was situated outside the borders of the Republic and, when the Republic launched the Crusade of the Wilds against various alien species of Wild Space in 11,791 BBY, Republic forces advanced from Ord Marsax into neighboring areas of space.[4]

In a section of an edition of the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook published[3] at some point between 19 BBY and 0 BBY,[6] Arack Dostryt, the Director of Recruiting for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, noted an account regarding Doctor Nuvo Vindi,[3] a researcher active during the Clone Wars.[7] The story claimed that, after the Republic had increased the bounty on Vindi to 250,000 credits, he carried out gas attacks on every bounty posting agency on Ord Marsax.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Ord Marsax was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[4] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Ord Marsax system, and therefore the world itself, in grid square R-6.[1]

  6. The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett includes an in-universe copy of the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook. The included edition of the Handbook was published at some point following the establishment of the Galactic Empire and is annotated by Greedo, whose death is depicted in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Since The New Essential Chronology places the formation of the Empire and the events of A New Hope in 19 BBY and 0 BBY, respectively, the included edition of the Bounty Hunters' Guild Handbook must have therefore been published at some point between those two dates.
