Onod I,[3] also known simply as Onod, was a planet located in the regions known as the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches.[2] It occupied the first orbital position in its star system[3] and was situated in grid square K-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[4] A hyperspace route connected it to the celestial body Kriselist and[5] the planet[6] Tiferep Major.[5]

Onod I was the homeworld of the Onodone[3] forger[7] Gwellis Bagnoro,[3] who was born around 17 BBY.[8] The historian Eloc Throno eventually noted Onod I's position on a galactic map included in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu,[1] and by the time of the First Order occupation of the planet Batuu[3] in 34 ABY,[8] the pirate Hondo Ohnaka had obtained a stolen identity profile of Bagnoro that mentioned the planet.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Onod I was first featured in the Star Wars: Datapad app that launched alongside the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[3] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[9] The 2020 book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu by Cole Horton introduced a shortened version of the planet's name.[1]

Therefore the events of Galaxy's Edge in general must also take place that year. Play Disney Parks Star Wars: Datapad — "Flight Crews Wanted" (Screenshots: 1, 2) states that Gwellis Bagnoro is age 51 during the events of Galaxy's Edge, meaning he was born around 17 BBY.
