"You should go back to your room."
"You mean her cell."
―Emerie Karr orders Omega back to her room, with Crosshair retorting[2]

Omega's room was a room located in the Galactic Empire's Tantiss Base on the planet Wayland where the young clone Omega lived during her Imperial captivity in around 18 BBY. A small, barren space, Omega lived in the room for around 164 days while she was made to be a medical assistant to Doctors Nala Se and Emerie Karr. Omega ultimately escaped from Tantiss Base, leaving the room behind.

Description[]

Omega's room[3] was located within the Galactic Empire's Tantiss Base at Mount Tantiss on the planet Wayland. Following her capture on[1] the planet[4] Ord Mantell[1] in around 18 BBY,[5] the young clone Omega was imprisoned in Tantiss Base, with the room serving as her personal quarters. The small room had a single entrance, with an interior doorway having an elevated step. The room had a bed positioned on the far wall near the door, a sink that consistently dripped water from its faucet, and a small, barred window above the side of the bed that overlooked the jungle and mountains that lay beyond the base. It was bare of possessions save for a gray lunch pail, which Omega kept under her bed, and a straw tooka she made with material taken from the lurca hound kennels, which she kept hidden, as personal effects were not allowed.[1]

History[]

"Take her back to her room and restrict her access."
―Royce Hemlock orders Emerie Karr to return Omega to her room[1]

Omega lived in the room for around 164 days[6] while she was made to assist both Doctor Emerie Karr and the Kaminoan and fellow prisoner Nala Se in the Empire's medical experiments, making a mark for each day on the side of the window sill.[1] Her straw tooka doll was confiscated when Karr and a pair of clone commandos entered the room for an inspection. A short time later, Doctor Royce Hemlock confined Omega to her room following her releasing the lurca hound designated LH-201, who she had named Batcher, and threatened to hurt Crosshair, a fellow clone prisoner and former member of Omega's squad, as a means to keep Omega in line. That night, as Omega sulked in her room, Karr left the straw tooka in the room for Omega to show her sympathy.[1]

During Omega and Crosshair's attempt to escape the base, Karr caught them and tried to convince Omega to return to her room, but Omega refused, and Crosshair eventually stunned the doctor. Omega's escape plan was successful,[2] as she and Crosshair reunited with their squad, Clone Force 99, leaving her room behind.[7] She and the rest of Clone Force 99 later returned to free the other prisoners from Tantiss Base, partially destroying the facility and leading to its decommission.[8]

Behind the scenes[]

Omega's room first appeared in "Confined,"[1] the first episode of Season 3 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, released on February 21, 2024.[9] After first being pictured in the Season 3 trailer on January 22, 2024,[10] Omega's room was later identified in its Databank entry published on StarWars.com.[3] While the "room" in the name was originally capitalized,[11] by June 23, 2024, the Databank had been updated to have the "room" in lowercase.[3]
