"Hey! Don't touch my ship, nerko!"
―Hype Fazon — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

"Nerko" was an insult. In 32 ABY, the half-human, half-Mirialan hybrid Maize Raynshi used the insult towards the Force-sensitive human Karr Nuq Sin. Later, in 34 ABY, the Aleena Grevel antagonized the human Kazuda Xiono into a game of holo-darts with the insult. The Rodian Hype Fazon shouted the insult at some First Order stormtroopers, grounding his starfighter, the Green Ace. The human Torra Doza also referred to a group of troopers as "nerko."

Grevel calls Kazuda Xiono a "nerko."

In 32 ABY,[4] while on the planet Merokia, the Force-sensitive human Karr Nuq Sin asked the half-human, half-Mirialan hybrid Maize Raynshi—who did not believe in the Jedi—if her father was a Jedi. In response, Raynshi called Sin a "nerko" and stated her father worked with the First Order.[2] In 34 ABY,[5] on[3] the planet[6] Castilon, the Aleena Grevel called the human Kazuda Xiono a "nerko" to antagonize him and goad him into a game of holo-darts.[3] Later that year,[5] as the First Order began occupying the Colossus refueling station, the Rodian racer Hype Fazon objected to a stormtrooper locking down his racing starfighter,[1] the Green Ace,[6] by referring to the trooper as a "nerko."[1] That same year,[5] after the Colossus was further submerged, the human Torra Doza coordinated with mechanic Neeku Vozo to flush First Order troopers out of the Colossus's corridors and into the waters of the planet Castilon. She lured a trio of troopers into position by provoking them with various insults that included "nerko," allowing Vozo to flush them into the ocean.[7]

Behind the scenes[]

"Nerko" first appeared in part one of the two-part episode "The Recruit,"[3] the first episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 7, 2018.[8]
