- "Do you recognize those flowers?"
"Hmm, they look like lompop. It's a wildflower that grows in some of the meadows around here." - ―Vernestra Rwoh and Yacek Sparkburn
Lompop was a wildflower native to the Outer Rim Territories planet Dalna. A seasonal summer flower, lompop grew in meadows and typically appeared in lower elevations before blooming in higher ones.[1] Lompop flowers had pink petals and made a signature snapping noise as they gathered moisture from the air. It could also be made into incense that was used by the resident Force-cult, the Path of the Open Hand[2] in 382 BBY.[3] In 230 BBY,[4] Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh found a bundle of dried flowers while searching a cabin in the Maawat Mountains during a mission to investigate Nihil activity. Feeling that the flowers' presence was off, she pointed them out to fellow Jedi Yacek Sparkburn, who identified them as lompop. Rwoh and Sparkburn subsequently discovered Theo, the son of Dalnan Vice President Hackrack Bep, who had been held in the cabin after being kidnapped by the Nihil from Dalna's south meadowlands. The flower shared its name with the Shani Deva Lompop.[1]
