"There was a lot of that on Little Atullus then – talk that a better life awaited you on the unspoiled worlds beyond the Rim."
―Baragwin sense lattice imprinted by a Republic soldier[2]

Little Atullus was an Inner Rim astronomical object located in the Anthos sector. It was the homeworld of a Galactic Republic soldier. During the soldier's childhood at the time of the Tionese War, traders from the planet Brentaal sold the boy's parents some farmland on the celestial body Okator VIII. After moving to their new home on Okator VIII, the boy eventually forgot about Little Atullus despite still seeing it in his dreams.

Description[]

Little Atullus was a terrestrial celestial body[2] located in the Little Atullus system, a part of the Anthos sector of the Inner Rim.[1]

History[]

"I grew up on Little Atullus, but my parents brought me to Okator VIII when I was a boy."
―Baragwin sense lattice imprinted by a Republic soldier[2]

Little Atullus was the homeworld of a soldier of the Galactic Republic. During the Tionese War, when the soldier was still a young boy, their parents invested their life savings into a land property on the Divide astronomical object Okator VIII that was offered by a group of traders from[2] the Core Worlds planet[3] Brentaal.[2]

The boy and their parents left Little Atullus for Okator VIII. Over time, life at the farm made the boy forget about their original homeworld, even though they kept dreaming about it. The boy eventually survived a Tionese attack on Okator VIII[2] around 23,900 BBY[4] that destroyed their family's farm, and afterward they became a soldier for the Republic. In an account of the attack imprinted on a Baragwin sense lattice years later, the soldier characterized the traders on Little Atullus who had sold their parents land as "hotshots" and further noted that many on Little Atullus at the time had claimed that a better life awaited potential settlers on "unspoiled" worlds beyond the region known by then as the Rim—a sentiment with which the soldier partially agreed with regard to their pastoral life on Okator VIII.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Little Atullus was originally meant to be mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the section that would have mentioned the astronomical object was cut before the book's release.[2]

The information regarding Little Atullus was later released in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Erich Schoeneweiss containing various cut content from The Essential Guide to Warfare.[2] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Little Atullus system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square N-8.[1]
