The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This incinerator was a spherical pod-like machine capable of producing temperatures that could melt lightsabers and cause the Kyber crystals within them to violently explode. The incinerator emitted a beam of energy capable of knocking down those nearby from the dying crystals.^[1]

One was notably used during the celebration of the Jedi Order's eradication, shortly after the Great Jedi Purge and formation of the Galactic Empire. Grand Vizier Mas Amedda ordered stormtroopers to pour bowls of Jedi's former lightsabers into the incinerator before personally placing the lightsaber that once belonged to Yoda into it, then had the machine turned on. All of the lightsabers were destroyed in the flames inside the pod.^[1]
