The L-s9.6 laser cannon was a model of laser cannon produced by Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems. It was the standard armament for Sienar-Jaemus's TIE/fo space superiority fighter, which was equipped with two black L-s9.6 cannons, one on either side of the cockpit's underside. It was also used on the TIE/sf space superiority fighter. The vehicles and their weaponry were heavily used by the First Order in their conflict with the Resistance around thirty years after the Battle of Endor.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

L-s9.6 laser cannons first appeared in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. They were not identified in the film, but were given a name by the accompanying reference book Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Incredible Cross-Sections, which was released in conjunction with the film in 2015.
