Kor Besadii was a swampy Hutt Space planet. Located in the Bootana Hutta region, it served as the throneworld of the Besadii clan of the Hutt species. The Besadii maintained vast palaces and opulent estates in the planet's swamps, and the structures were maintained by enslaved beings who frequently mounted escape attempts and even revolts.

Description[]

Kor Besadii was a planet[2] located in the Kor Besadii system, a part of the Bootana Hutta area in the Hutt Space portion of the Slice. It was connected by a hyperlane to the Kor Hestilic system.[1] Kor Besadii's surface featured vast, lush swamps.[2]

History[]

Kor Besadii served as the throneworld of the Besadii clan of the Hutt species, which was among the first of the Hutt clans to establish a throneworld of their own. Unlike other throneworlds, or even the species' adopted homeworld Nal Hutta, Kor Besadii's surface conditions meant there was little need for terraforming it to suit the Hutt tastes,[2] and the planet became representative of the Hutt throneworlds.[1]

Inhabitants[]

The Besadii were among the first Hutts to store on their throneworld riches from both Hutt Space and beyond. The clan used large numbers of enslaved beings to maintain their palaces, and—unbeknownst to even a majority of the Hutts, let alone the wider galactic community—the harsh conditions of the workers regularly led to escape attempts and occasionally even gave rise to revolts. Few of the enslaved beings managed to escape Kor Besadii alive, however.[2]

Locations[]

The Besadii owned ancient, expansive palaces and opulent estates in Kor Besadii's swamps—including Gercor's Retreat, which spread across a hundred islands in the middle of a large swamp.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Kor Besadii was first mentioned in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book co-authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square S-10.[1]
