"I got an untraceable NS-9 Starpath unit. Vector crystals and Imperial seal still intact."
―Cassian Andor, to Bix Caleen[3]

The Imperial N-S9 Starpath Unit[4] was an expensive and untraceable box-shaped[2] piece of Imperial technology that used proprietary Imperial signals and frequencies to coordinate and map the relation of a starship to every Imperial asset, whether it was an installation or a vessel, for nine radial parsecs.[1] One of these devices, with Vector crystals and Imperial seal still intact,[3] was stolen from the Steergard Naval Yard by Cassian Jeron Andor[1] around 6 BBY.[5] Both Bix Caleen and Luthen Rael showed interest in purchasing the box,[3] but it was ultimately lost during a firefight between Andor, Rael, and Pre-Mor Enforcement in a warehouse on the planet Ferrix.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The N-S9 Starpath unit first appeared in "That Would Be Me," the second episode of the Disney+ series Andor.[2] In an article covering the highlights of the third episode posted on StarWars.com, the unit is erroneously called both the "NP-95 Starpath" and the "NP-5 Starpath."[6]
