Ilimardon was a planet located in the Mid Rim's Nicandra sector. It was governed by the Regal Hierarchy, which maintained a wildlife division and a fleet of starships. When the Regal Hierarchy became interested in the use of domesticated mynocks as weapons against starships, it employed the Human Gres Ople, former mynock trainer of the Trandoshan pirate Chorssk's organization, to train a new flock of the creatures. By 12 ABY, Ilimardon was a member of the New Republic.

Description[]

Ilimardon was a planet[3] located in the Ilimardon system, a part of the Nicandra sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was situated on a hyperlane that connected it to the Nicandra system as well as the Korvaii system in the Kordu sector.[4]

History[]

Mynock NEGAS

The Ilimardon government was interested in the use of domesticated mynocks as weapons against starships.

At some point, the planetary government of Ilimardon, the Regal Hierarchy, became interested in utilizing domesticated mynocks as weapons against starships, as practiced by the Trandoshan pirate Chorssk. To obtain its own flock of domesticated mynocks, the Ilimardon government persuaded the Human Gres Ople, a mynock trainer in Chorssk's pirate organization, to instead become an employee in the wildlife division of the Regal Hierarchy. Ople subsequently raised a flock of mynocks from a breeding pair she had stolen from Chorssk.[3]

Six months after Ople's defection, Chorssk had sworn to hunt down and kill his former trainer and was willing to go up against all the starships in the Ilimardon fleet in order to get to her.[3] By 12 ABY, Ilimardon fell within the borders of the New Republic.[4]

Inhabitants[]

Ilimardon was governed by the Regal Hierarchy, which maintained a fleet of starships and a wildlife division. At one point, the Human female Greps Ople was employed in the Hierarchy's wildlife division as a trainer of domesticated mynocks.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Ilimardon was introduced in "Domesticated Mynocks," an article written by Jeff Quick and published on Wizards.com on April 25, 2002.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Ilimardon system, and therefore the planet Ilimardon, in grid square L-7.[2]
