The hyperloop pod works similarly to the real-world hyperloop, an ultra-high-speed ground transportation pod proposed by Elon Musk in 2013. Hyperloop pods travel in a tube that is powered by the sun and elevated above ground, and when traveling long distances, they will mostly traverse along an existing highway.[2]
