Gonker was the only child of Mama Gonk's who attended gonk school and spoke more eloquently than other EG-6 power droids they knew. A resident of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine, Gonker once sought assistance in being escorted through groups of armed hostiles to Gonk-Stores Paradise, where they were employed to maintain the door.

Living in the settlement of Mos Eisley on[2] the planet[3] Tatooine as an EG-6 power droid, Gonker was sent to gonk school by Mama Gonk, who only had enough money to give one of their children that opportunity. Gonker was thus more articulate than other EG-6 power droids of their acquaintance. Despite this eloquence, they could still only communicate in Gonkian and required a protocol droid to communicate with speakers of other languages. They were employed by Gonk-Stores Paradise Trading Inc. and worked at Gonk-Stores Paradise, sitting in the power socket outside the shop to keep the door operational.[2]
At some point after 0 BBY,[4] Gonker asked an individual with a protocol droid to escort them through Mos Eisley, as they were concerned that it was a dangerous neighborhood and they might run into trouble. The individual defended the power droid from several groups of ax- and blaster-wielding assailants around the Ubrikkian Trade Tower and delivered them safely to their workplace.[2]

Manufactured by Veril Line Systems,[1] Gonker was an EG-6 power droid who spoke Gonkian. The droid had a pair of light gray legs, brown casing that was scuffed by the sands of Tatooine, and lighter earth tones across the body—a portion of their front was white while another portion protruded a black component.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Gonker appeared in the non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which was released in 2022. They featured in the side quest "Gonk-stores Paradise."[2]
