A flash charge was a device that, when activated, created a brief but intense blinding light, making it useful against enemies using weapon scopes. Din Djarin and Toro Calican used flash charges to help capture Fennec Shand on Tatooine in 9 ABY. One flash charge was later used by the Mandalorian to distract Calican after he betrayed him and held Grogu hostage.[1][2]
