A Keelboat was a type of boat used to transport individuals. A special type of keelboat was able to transport individuals across the lava rivers of the lava fields[1] on the Outer Rim planet[2] Nevarro.[1] Around 9 ABY,[3] one such boat was operated by MA-13 who helped Din Djarin, Cara Dune, Greef Karga, and IG-11 rescue the Child from Imperial pursuers.[4]

- ↑ SWCC 2019: 9 Things We Learned from The Mandalorian Panel on StarWars.com (backup link) establishes that The Mandalorian is set about five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 4 ABY. Therefore, the events of "Chapter 8: Redemption," including the appearance of the keelboat, must have taken place around 9 ABY.
