Erilnar was a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories's Centrality. Serving as the capital of the Centrality, Erilnar had three hundred thousand lakes on its surface, which forced the planet's transportation to go underwater. At some point by the reign of the Galactic Empire, a terrorist attack on Erilnar destroyed most of the world's monorail network and resulted in a million casualties. Blaming the Empire for its non-reaction to the attack, the Erilnar native Kulbart Zamoon joined the Rebel Alliance.

Description[]

Erilnar was a terrestrial planet[2] located in the Erilnar system, a part of the Centrality sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The Cadma Conduit hyperlane connected it to the Oseon and Scillal systems.[1] The landmass of Erilnar was broken up by three hundred thousand lakes, thus making it very different from[2] the galactic capital, the city-covered planet Coruscant.[1] Erilnar's unusual geography forced transportation, which included a monorail system, to go underwater.[2]

History[]

At some point, Erilnar became the capital world of the Centrality,[2] a coalition of planets established in 3350 BBY. On Erilnar, the Human species dominated the Centrality government, which came to be manipulated behind the scenes by Hutts based in nearby Hutt Space.[1]

By the time of the Galactic Empire's reign,[3] Erilnar was the homeworld of[4] the Human[5] Kulbart Zamoon.[4] Around that time, one in a series of terrorist attacks on Erilnar—an incident that saw the destruction of most of the planet's monorail network—claimed the lives of a million people.[2] When the Empire,[4] with which the Centrality had allied itself as a semi-independent territory[2] did not interfere in the aftermath of the attack, Zamoon held it accountable and joined its enemy, the Rebel Alliance, as a result.[4]

Behind the scenes[]

Erilnar was first mentioned in the article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," which was authored by Michael Kogge and published in Star Wars Gamer 5[2] on July 24, 2001.[6] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed it in grid square T-8.[1]
