- "This next droid is a real live wire, with a battery capacity that seems infinite. Nothing will stop this gonk... other than a complete and catastrophic system failure."
- ―Pageant Host
"Energetic GNK" was a EG-6 power droid who participated in a gonk droid beauty pageant run by a Pageant Host[1] on the planet[2] Pasaana in[1] 35 ABY[3] during the Festival of the Ancestors. They were excitable, spirited and constantly jumped up and down. The GNK droid was also sometimes anxious: after the pageant ended, they confessed to an individual that the pressure of the pageant "almost fried [their] circuits".[1]
They enjoyed racing, not even caring where, exactly, they raced, nor how feasible: while waiting to be called up to the runway, they asked an individual if they had enough time to race against them around the festival, but they immediately changed their mind, offering to instead race around the planet or even the galaxy.[1]
They were only required to charge infrequently, and developed a reputation for having an infinite battery life and never conserving power, to the point where the Pageant Host suggested their energy use was irresponsible. Their day job, which they had briefly taken a break from in order to participate in the pageant, was sitting in a power socket all day.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
"Energetic GNK" appeared in the non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which was released in 2022. They feature in the side quest "Drop Dead Gonkgeous." As the player character has to pick the winner, it is possible for "Energetic GNK" to win the pageant.[1]
