The dwarf probe droid, also known as an Imperial probe droid[2] or Viper probot, was a model of probe droid manufactured by Arakyd Industries.[1] It was fitted with a pair of blaster barrels, which it could fire with deadly accuracy.[2] After the rebel group known as the Spectres were responsible for a raid near the town of Jalath on the planet Lothal, dwarf probe droids were deployed to spy on the group and reported their movements to Grand Moff Tarkin.[3]
