The title of Director of Advanced Weapons Research was held by Commander Orson Callan Krennic as the head of the Imperial Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research and Project Stardust. Director Krennic oversaw the construction of the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station during the Imperial Era,^[1] and was a member of the Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military.^[2] Director Krennic was assisted by Colonel Brierly Ronan, who held the title of Assistant Director.^[3]
