In 3630 BBY,[8] the Dust Vipers pirate gang raided an Eternal Alliance patrol and stole some sensitive data. Responding to this, the Alliance was led by its Commander to the Dust Viper Den on the planet Tatooine. The battle resulted in the defeat and destruction of the pirates, and retrieval of the Alliance data.[7]
