- "Hi. Uh, do you mind if we hide in your place for a moment?"
«What?»
"Ah! Sorry, sir. We have no time." - ―Kazuda Xiono and Darrb
The vendor Darrb resided in a house on the Outer Rim planet Varkana. In 34 ABY, Resistance operatives Kazuda Xiono and Norath Kev carried Darrb inside his house and hid inside the dwelling while fleeing from two stormtroopers of the First Order. The vendor believed the pair were criminals and escaped from their hold by stomping on Kev's foot, alerting the stormtroopers to their location. After Xiono and Kev knocked out the two troopers, Darrb demanded that they leave his house immediately.
Description[]
The house was located on[1] the Outer Rim[3] planet Varkana and featured a light gray door, tan walls, and a rectangular gray rug. The residence also featured several cabinets, shelves, ample counter space, and seating for several individuals. Lighting fixtures and a window helped the house maintain visibility inside.[1] By 34 ABY,[4] several storage containers were kept near the building's doorway.[1]
History[]
- "Just give us one minute and we are out of here."
«This is absurd. Get out of my house. You're criminals. Help!» - ―Kazuda Xiono and Darrb

Kazuda Xiono and Norath Kev hid in Darrb's house to evade stormtroopers and forcibly kept the vendor quiet.
By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, the Gabdorin marketplace vendor Darrb lived in the house.[1] In 34 ABY,[4] Darrb walked through Varkana's streets toward[1] his[5] residence carrying a basket of produce. While trying to run from two stormtroopers of the First Order, the Resistance operatives Kazuda Xiono and Norath Kev asked the vendor to hide in his dwelling. However, with their pursuers fast approaching, Xiono then expressed that there was no time to wait. The pair carried Darrb inside his home and used their hands to keep him from speaking. The vendor angrily panicked, believing they were criminals wanting to rob him, and was not reassured by Xiono's promises that they would depart soon.[1]
Moments after the two stormtroopers passed by the house's door, Darrb stomped on Kev's foot and freed himself from the pair's grasp as the latter called out in pain. The stormtroopers—alerted by Kev's voice—demanded to enter the dwelling as Kev and Xiono moved to hide, forcing Darrb to stand in front of the room's entrance. When the troopers then forcibly made their way inside, they were met with the terrified vendor standing in front of them. When asked about the Resistance operatives, Darrb attempted to discreetly signal that they were still inside, but Xiono and Kev knocked the two troopers out using bowls. The homeowner then demanded that Xiono and Kev leave his residence and threw produce at them as they departed with the stormtroopers' bodies.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Darrb's house first appeared in "Breakout,"[1] the thirteenth episode of the second season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on December 22, 2019.[6] Lucasfilm Animation artist Aaron Pham created a concept illustration of the residence titled "verkDomicileAmleto" for "Breakout" on May 7, 2018. The house had originally been designed for Amleto,[7] an Elomin spy included in an earlier version of the episode. However, she was cut from "Breakout" and Darrb took her place in the scene where Xiono and Kev hide in the residence to evade stormtroopers.[8]
