Daniel Davis, born on November 26, 1945 in Gurdon, Arkansas, is an American actor. His best known roles include Niles the butler on the popular sitcom The Nanny, Professor James Moriarty in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Captain Davenport in the film The Hunt for Red October (1990).
In 2012, Davis narrated the audiobook of Darth Plagueis.[1] In the following years, Davis would join other Star Wars voice artist for the audiobooks in the William Shakespeare's Star Wars series. Davis would return to Star Wars in 2023 to narrate the short story "To the Last" in the audiobook of From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[2]
