Around 21 BBY,[2] a conference on Aviles Prime took place on the[1] Expansion Region[3] astronomical object Aviles Prime.[1] Director General Lorca Oviedo of Oviedo Engineering,[1] a military weaponry manufacturer,[4] attended the conference. After the event, he was to travel to the Galactic Republic's[1] Core Worlds[5] capital planet[6] Coruscant; however, while his Consular-class cruiser and his clone commando escorts traveled to Coruscant, they exited hyperspace and were subsequently shot down by Separatist forces, crashing on the[1] Expansion Region[7] moon of Asturias.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The conference on Aviles Prime was mentioned in the flashbacks of the comic story "Honor Bound," which was published by Dark Horse Comics[1] on February 23, 2005[8] as part of the twenty-second issue of the Star Wars Tales comic-book series. The story was written by Ian Edginton and illustrated by Steve Pugh.[1]
