Communications triads were structures used as long-range communication relays within the Unknown Regions. Communication triads were thus named because they consisted of three poles or other structures used as transmitters or receivers. Such triads were used by the Chiss Ascendancy,[2] the Grysk Hegemony, and other civilizations in and bordering the Unknown Regions.[3]
Communications triads could be constructed of land-based structures, vehicles, starships, or even space stations.[1]
During the Imperial Era, a communications triad was present on Batuu, used by the Darshi to communicate with their Grysk overlords.[1]
