Chris Weitz is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and actor who has worked on the films American Pie, About a Boy, The Golden Compass, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and Cinderella. On March 12, 2015, it was announced that Weitz had taken over screenwriting duties from Gary Whitta for the Star Wars Anthology Series film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was released on December 16, 2016.[1]
