"I was in a seedy dive on Chibbier when the Guild posted the bounty. A pair of Cathar twins bragging about being the only people to fleece Jabba the Hutt and get away with it."
―Raslin Grace tells a story[5]

Chibbier was a forest planet located in the Outer Rim. The bounty hunter Raslin Grace claimed to have visited a seedy dive on the world and accepted a bounty from the Bounty Hunters' Guild while there and later recounted their supposed time on the world while telling a story. By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, the human Delta Jeet and her cousins worked on Chibbier cutting trees but were laid off when the world's forests were depleted. In 34 ABY, Jeet—now working as a pilot on the Outer Rim planet Batuu, told the smuggler Izal Garsea about her time on the forest planet and why she had left.

Description[]

"Chibbier. A forest planet."
―Delta Jeet, to Izal Garsea[4]

The forest planet Chibbier was a terrestrial world[4] located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches[2] that was situated in grid square I-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]

History[]

"Everyone was laid off two months ago."
"Why?"
"No trees left means nothing to cut down."
―Delta Jeet and Izal Garsea, about Chibbier[4]

The bounty hunter Raslin Grace told a story to several individuals—including other bounty hunters—while in the Bounty Hunters Guild Social Club on[5] the planet[6] D'Assem[5] between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[7] claiming they visited a seedy dive on Chibbier at some point. According to Grace's account, while they were seated at the world's establishment, the Bounty Hunters' Guild had sent out a bounty on a pair of Cathar twins. Grace had viewed the bounty's details via a hologram and chosen to depart Chibbier and pursue the twins after learning that they hailed from a rich family and had swindled the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. When Grace claimed that they successfully completed the job, several of the individuals listening did not believe them.[5]

By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, a number of workers were employed to cut down trees on Chibbier, including the human Delta Jeet and her cousins. Eventually, the forests ran out, and all the workers were laid off. Within a month, Jeet moved to the Outer Rim planet Batuu, where she worked as a pilot for the shipping company Ohnaka Transport Solutions.[4] In 34 ABY,[8] two months after leaving Chibbier, Jeet related her time working on Chibbier to the smuggler Izal Garsea, whom she had been manipulated into taking prisoner by Garsea's former associate, the smuggler Ana Tolla.[4] The same year,[9] the historian and author Eloc Throno included the forest world on a map in his Batuu guidebook, Traveler's Guide to Batuu.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Chibbier was first mentioned in the 2019 young-adult novel A Crash of Fate, written by Zoraida Córdova.[4] The planet first appeared in a flashback in the comic story "Tall Tales," written by Alyssa Wong and illustrated by David Baldeón. It was published by Marvel Comics in the one-shot comic Revelations 1[5] on December 20, 2023.[10]
