Charles Martinet is an American[3] voice actor born on September 17,[1] 1955,[2] well known for voicing Nintendo protagonist Mario and other characters in the Super Mario video game series.[4] He has voiced various supporting characters in Star Wars video games published by LucasArts, beginning with the role of Imperial Admiral Garreth Holtz in 1999's Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance.[6] In 2001, he voiced 2-1B surgical droids, AT-AT drivers, and the B1-Series battle droid OOM-9 in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.[7] In Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, released in 2002, Martinet voiced Bespin cop 2, a civilian male, Imperial officer 2,[8] and Rebel shock troop 3.[9]
