Carol Titelman (spouse name: Wikarska) (1946 - December 7, 2019) was a key member of the staff during the early days of Lucasfilm. She joined the company months before the release of the first movie, Star Wars,[1] as Charles Lippincott secretary, while they were romantically engaged together.[2] She soon came to direct three departments : Art, Publishing and Creative Services in the late 1970's. In particular, she helped with the creation of art-focused books. She also oversaw the conception and production of the first Star Wars radio drama, for which she was credited as an executive producer. In that role Titlelman hired Brian Daley as scriptwriter and oversaw the film's faithful adaptation to the radio.[3] Titelman left Lucasfilm when its offices moved to Northern California.[1]
