The Carida was a Galactic Republic starship active during the Cold War. In 3643 BBY, it was the target of an attack by Sith forces. Jedi Knight Laranna Fain defended the ship but was wounded in the process. She was healed by the Sith Lord Vivicar posing as a Jedi Master, but was also infected with the Dark Plague. She was rescued by a Jedi Consular.

Behind the scenes[]

In game, the ship is described as a standard Republic patrol vessel, but is depicted as an Ajuur-class heavy cruiser. According to Charles Boyd, the ship was probably intended to be a Thranta-class corvette by the original developers.^[3]
