The Broken Chain Clan were a group of pirates whose membership consisted of ex-prisoners and criminals that had banded together. They attacked starships to take their supplies and cargo. During the war between the First Order and the Resistance, the Broken Chain Clan were enemies of the Ithorian antiques dealer Dok-Ondar.^[1]

The Broken Chain Clan was first created for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened to guests at Disneyland Park on May 31, 2019.^[1]
