At some point between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[2] the Nihil pirates repeatedly bombed the caldera in the north of the world Isolt. The bombings occurred as some Nihil wanted to know if they could cause a volcanic super eruption similar to the one the Nihil had carried out on[1] the Outer Rim planet[3] Dalna. The Nihil were ultimately successful in causing at least one such eruption, as well as destroying most of the life on Isolt, leaving it a quiet world.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The bombing of Isolt was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 The High Republic: Temptation of the Force
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Per the reasoning here, the events of The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, which take place at least one year and a few months after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, must take place in 228 BBY. Temptation of the Force establishes that the bombing took place over a year before the novel's events but also after the Destruction of Dalna, an event dated to 230 BBY by Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia. Therefore, the bombing must have occurred between 230 BBY and 229 BBY.
